Pre-K started on Sept. 2nd this year. Welcome back to school!
Dear Heavenly Father
Please guide and direct our
Students and teachers as they
Began a new school year.
Lord, wrap your arms around them
And put them in your hands
Please protect them.
Give them the wisdom they need
To be successful.
Give them the dedication and
Determination they need for a great school year.
Help them have a smile on their face
And to treat others the way
You would want them to. Amen!
Our little explorers had a blast during our summer camp adventure! We dove into the wonders of the great outdoors, learning all about animals, bugs, and the beauty of God’s creations along the way. From scavenger hunts and “sleeping under the stars” to flashlight tag and fun, nature-themed snacks, our campers were fully immersed in the joys of outdoor exploration.
2025 Graduation celebration was a success! These incredible students have worked so hard all year long—not just academically, but socially and emotionally as well. Day after day, they poured their hearts into everything they did. We are so proud of each one of them and are truly blessed to have walked alongside them this year.
March was all about Famous Artists!
This month, our young learners explored the fascinating world of both past and present artists. They discovered what it means to be an artist, learned about some amazing local talent, and experimented with color mixing, textures, collages, and even sculpture-making!
To celebrate all of their hard work and creativity, we hosted an art exhibit for our DCA families—and what a success it was! The children were absolutely beaming with pride as they showed off their masterpieces. It was a special moment for parents to see the dedication and imagination their little artists poured into each creation.
Picasso, Jackson, Monet—watch out! These future artists are ready to make their mark on the world!
In the month of December, the Christmas spirit was truly alive and thriving at DCA! Our students were filled with excitement as they eagerly prepared for the magical Christmas program.
It was spirit week on Jan. 17th! The children were buzzing with energy and excitement as they eagerly planned their outfits for each themed day.
Monday- dress like a snowman
Tuesday- wear your favorite colors
Wednesday- sports day
Thursday- hat day
Friday- wear your favorite holiday
It was a close race, but Oreo sealed the deal as the school favorite! Today, we reminded the kiddos about the power of their vote in November!
Thanksgiving may have passed, but the memories of the wonderful time we had at our family thankful circle will stay with us forever. Our pre-K & kindergarten classroom came together to put on an amazing performance for our family members. We shared Bible scriptures, sang fun and silly Thanksgiving songs, and even read a hilarious book about a turkey trying to escape Thanksgiving dinner. The best part was sitting down together, creating a fun craft, and reconnecting with one another.
It was a blast having baby chicks and hens visit us, and the highlight of our day was watching chickens create artwork with their feet! We got down and dirty in the mud, painted Indian corn, and played with pigs.
Wow, what a spook-tacular time we had at DCA in October! Trick-or-treating, special guests, games, and snacks made it a Halloween to remember. To top it off, we got to celebrate a special teacher's birthday!
The first day of school at DCA in Sept. 2024 was a huge success!
What a fantastic day it was down on Cherry Crest Farm in October! Here at DCA, we've been learning all about farms and Fall, so it was the perfect opportunity to take our learning outside of the classroom.
